USC's modern and environmentally sensitive campus is located approximately 90km from Brisbane, and only a short drive from the Sunshine Coast's major centers and some of Australia's best beaches and national parks. The campus has won a host of awards for its architecture and is a designated wildlife reserve, home to Eastern Grey kangaroos.

Course Information:
USC offers coursework in a wide variety of disciplines. Students traditionally enroll in four classes worth 16.0 credit hours. Almost every class offered by USC is worth 4.0 US credit hours. Diploma students are required to enroll in 16.0 credit hours as part of their program.

Students can explore USC courses available to study abroad students online. Courses listed on List 2 typically require pre-requisites. If students wish to take a course on List 2, they will need to show the equivalent pre-requisite on their transcript.

Fredonia students wishing to use coursework taken abroad toward degree requirements should follow the Overseas Course Approval process. Grades for courses taken abroad will count toward the student's cumulative GPA.

Other SUNY students should discuss credit transfer policies with the Study Abroad Office at the home campus.


Accommodation:
Students live in off campus apartments which are just a ten minute walk from campus. There are two main apartment complexes where students live: UniCentral and Varsity. Both complexes offer students similar experiences: private bedrooms and bathrooms with shared fully equipped kitchen and living space; an outdoor space; fitness and laundry facilities; social programs. 

USC does not offer a meal plan and apartments are self-catered. Campus shuttles take students to local shops and also to Maroochydore and Mooloolaba, where more shopping and cultural activities are available.

Students pay a weekly rate directly to the housing provider and are required to pay a refundable housing bond (deposit) prior to their arrival.


Arrival Information:
Students will fly into Brisbane (BNE), which is about one hour south of the USC campus.  Both UniCentral and Varsity apartments offer airport pick up services for an additional cost (approx $60 USD). USC does not offer an airport pick up service to students.

Students will participate in an orientation week with USC's International Office to introduce them to campus life.


Program Cost:

Students may be able to use financial aid to support program costs. Following acceptance, students should meet with the Financial Aid office at their home campus to understand financing options.

Scholarships:
Students are encouraged to apply for scholarships to support their study abroad program.


Student Visa:
Students attending the full semester program are required to apply for a student visa. The visa application is completed online through the Australian Department of Home Affairs. Information on the visa process will be shared with students following acceptance into the program.
